COMUNIDADES ECLESIALES DE BASE

Comunidades Eclesiales de Base in Waukegan IL. were formed by priests: Father Michael Boehm, Father Salvador Vaca and Father Gary Graf, in the year of 1997. They looked at the urgent need to discern the ways in which the church in the United States can better respond to the presence of Hispanics / Latinos and empower the ways in which Hispanics / Latinos respond as evangelizers by being a leaven of the kingdom of God. They made a retreat with the objective of forming base ecclesial communities. After this retreat, small communities were formed at Most Blessed Trinity parish.
