Holy Family

Our ministry's mission is to promote peace and harmony in marriages and families.

It began in 2001 with the name of Alpha and Omega and belonging to the Archdiocese of Chicago. It was done with the purpose that immigrants upon arriving in this country could count on a parish community where sacred scriptures, food, friendship and love are shared, a community where they could find support and encouragement in their desire to move forward to your marriage and your family, as well as helping each other after the example of the first Christians. Later, the name was changed to “Holy Family” when we wanted to be part of our Most Blessed Trinity parish in 2014.

We have monthly monitoring for the entire community (the whole group in general) normally on the 2nd Sunday of each month at 4pm in the Youth Center where various topics related to marriage, family and society in general are touched, such as communication in the couple, raising children, community life, Every year we organize a couples retreat, we are given a follow-up of 3 sessions and later we invite couples to continue in our monthly meetings. If a couple wishes to attend our group, the doors are always, open for them to join us with their sons and daughters. Childcare is offered with biblical teaching; family coexistence and we share the sacred foods during the meetings.

We also meet in small groups, Peace and Harmony Promoting Communities (COPPAS) where a theme from the follow-up book is shared and applied to our daily lives, these are more intimate and that is where we can share our differences or growth as couples and families. We have these meetings once a month rotating in the homes of each couple in the COPPAS group.
