The Catholic Charismatic Renewal, Catholic Charismatic Movement or Renewal in the Holy Spirit has been defined as a current of grace within the Catholic Church that integrates communities and groups of prayer and praise, which are characterized by the practice of charisms such as speaking in tongues. , intercession, community prayer, spiritual retreats and days of healing.
In particular, this movement has been in the Waukegan area for more than 30 years, currently our meetings with the people are held on Fridays at the temple of the Holy Family in Waukegan Illinois, On the first Friday of each month we are given a healing mass, We work in evangelization and our desire is that every day more people consecrate themselves to the Holy Spirit and thus our love grows to the stature of Christ. We promote as Catholics the love and devotion to the saints, especially to our Mother, the ever-Virgin Mary, the love of the Eucharist, the daily reading of the word of God and continuous prayer in thanksgiving to God the Father for his immense love to each one of us.
We are known for praying aloud, singing praises and announcing a Living Christ who continues to act with power and continues to heal people physically and spiritually.
Any person who wishes to do so can attend our prayer circle, the doors of our community are always open to everyone, every year we carry out a retreat of evangelization or healing, we also organize a seminar on life in the Spirit for personal growth and community.
Our group has leaders we call servants, they receive monthly teaching with the steering team of the archdiocese of Chicago, they meet every Monday to pray, read the word of God, sing praises and to organize and plan the next meetings or prayer circles.
